People are very interested in criminals today. People love to watch popular crime and investigation movies and shows that are shown every day on TV. Over the years, America has been home to many psychopaths. These murderers have been the central point of many movies and documentaries, as well as streaming apps such Hulu and Netflix. Ted Bundy is the most prominent psychopath.

Ted Bundy was an serial killer who targeted young women. His murder spree began in 1974. He killed at least 30 women. Ted lured girls with his charm and good looks. He was a charismatic killer that nobody would suspect. Bundy would make a fool of himself and pretend to be a decent guy, while he was actually a former boy Scout, crisis counselor and campaign volunteer (Ramsland 2013, 2013). He was a friend to everyone who knew him. Many people considered him a friend. Ted Bundy is often referred to as a psychopath. However, doctors don’t diagnose psychopaths today. Instead, they identify people with antisocial personality disorder. Antisocial personality disorder is a condition that causes people to manipulate, use, and emotionally harm others without regret or shame. Antisocial personality disorder sufferers place their needs first and don’t care about the opinions or feelings of others.

feelings. People with this mental disorder are more likely to violate the law, lie about their condition, or charm others with humor. Ted Bundy is a perfect example of someone with this disorder. He used his charmed looks to manipulate young women and then killed them that night. After killing more than thirty young women within a matter of years, he didn’t feel any remorse. Ted Bundy was skilled at manipulating other people and did this willingly to achieve his goals.

Ted Bundy’s impact on psychology has been immense. The United States hadn’t seen a serial murderer like Ted Bundy until Ted Bundy. America was stunned by Ted’s brutal murders. Bundy’s ability to commit such horrible acts of violence was more shocking than any other fact. Ted Bundy’s murders were a great example of “psychopathy”, and how insane people can be. Everybody likes the guy who murders his victims. Young women are more aware and cautious after the murders.

Like millions of Americans, I found Ted Bundy’s murders fascinating. I have seen several films and documentaries on the case. It is amazing that a man who volunteers and is friendly to everyone can be a serial killer. Ted Bundy’s crimes taught me the importance of trusting no one. These crimes have made me realize how important it is to not trust anyone. I walk with my pepper spray and avoid strangers.
