It is my responsibility to actively change the world in today’s globalized world. My ability to be active in both the school and community has been enhanced by signing up for extra-curriculars. My motivation to devote time to helping others has been strengthened by my involvement in providing assistance to those in need. Selecting propelled courses has challenged my time-management and work ethics. The opportunities I have been given make me grateful. I don’t regret any of the decisions I made through these opportunities. I’ve had an amazing life and learned a great deal along the way. The travels I made abroad introduced me to a variety of cultures.

In my recollection, I spent a happy youth. I am second in a family of six. My parents did an excellent job in raising me. I was never forced to study or do my best. My parents are supportive of the decisions I have made. “Be yourself. Your future is in you hands. We will do our best for a pleasant path and to encourage your beginning journey in the life. There is never enough education, I always believed. We can grow and achieve more with education.

I am currently studying allied science foundation at Malaysia’s Medical School in Cyberjaya. My graduation is scheduled for January 2020. My foundation was much more academically challenging than my high school. The experience was not routine. Each week, there are new tasks to be completed, tests to prepare for, and things to do. Academics is the most important thing to me. My schedule is very important to me. I work hard and efficiently manage my workload.

I am passionate about education and want to share that passion with others. This year, i volunteered at the 10th University Scholar Leadership Symposium Service Learning Day Malaysia. The experience was very eye-opening. The event was attended by 200 delegates, 200 refugee and 25 volunteers. In addition, I participated in a volunteer program run by my college during Chinese new year and Eid. My love for learning is one of the reasons I enjoy being part of a good team. I learn more by volunteering and gaining hands-on knowledge. I would like to meet people with similar interests and make new friends. Volunteering improves my happiness, self-esteem and psychological health. By chance, volunteering has allowed me to make new friends, improve my self-esteem by default, and learn new skills.

I knew my goal was to have a career within the medical field. Physical Therapy,Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology combined all the things I enjoy in life: helping other people. I discovered that my passion to help others was reflected in my leisure time. My passion for helping others and using medical science principles in a one on one environment led me to choose a bachelor’s degree in Rehabilitation Science. This degree helps you to understand how scientific knowledge can be applied to clinical management, which will prepare you for your future career.

A combination of my experiences and lessons learned over the years have made me a well-rounded person. Because I enjoy interacting with others, I feel I am well suited to receive this scholarship. I am interested in meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I will take full advantage the scholarship that will be provided to me. South Korea has a rich culture and a long history. It is also known for being a country that welcomes foreigners. This is what made me want to study there.
