Ideas for writing a romantic fiction book
1. From Hate to Loving
Surprisingly, there is a shorter distance between these strong emotions than you might think. The starting point need not be hate. You can start with any emotion, other than anger, contempt, fear, and/or fear. Love can come unexpectedly, indeed.

2. Too Different to Love
Opposites attract. Literature and movies are full of examples. Are you a boss-employee romance? Victim and criminal? Who is the hero and who is the villain? What is stopping us? These stories are unpredictable and always surprising. However, sometimes heroes can be too different from each other to make lovers.

3. Life-Long love story
Surprising things can happen even in long-lasting friendships. This is true for life-long foes. It is possible for everything to change in a matter of seconds. Your characters may fall in love and then be thrown apart by the unpredictability of fate. You know they will end up together, right?

4. Games and challenges
Experimenting on someone without their consent is unacceptable. It is also not acceptable to play with another person’s emotions. Some people can’t live with love games and challenges. You might be surprised at the unexpected results. How can you ensure that you don’t fall in Love with the next victim in your sociological experiment?

5. Tragic Passing
Many romance novels do not have happy endings. Reality is harsh and lovers won’t live forever. Some stories end with death (“P.S. I Love You”) and other stories end with it (“Romeo and Juliet”). You don’t have to be afraid of crying if you want to tell a tragic story. Be realistic, but don’t be boring.

Dystopian Ideas

1. Pathogen
It doesn’t matter what type of virus it is: an unfortunate accident in a lab or an evil corporation’s mad plan. It is rapidly spreading and it is difficult to control. It could make people zombies or vampires. What will your characters do? Or a medicine? Your decision is theirs.

2. Machines/technology
Since the beginning, the idea that artificial intelligence could be possible has bothered great writers. This idea is now more popular than ever. This topic may not be for you if you believe robots cannot violate the Three Laws of Robotics.

3. Aliens
You can choose to invade, slave, eliminate or wage war. You don’t need to remind aliens that they can’t always be seen as wise and friendly if you are choosing dystopian novels. They are out to destroy us all.

4. Third World War
One of the most likely future scenarios is a devastating war. Although motives may vary, the basic principle is the same: humans are aggressive, greedy and cruel. They are not all the same. Only the strongest. This war will not produce winners, but only casualties.

5. Natural Disaster
Our planet will eventually lose its patience and another flooding will start. Or endless volcanic eruptions. Or devastating earthquakes. However, most of the population will die. Dystopia is not for the faint of heart!

Generating ideas for a mystery novel
1. Ten Tiny Natives
The crime novel idea of a crime novel is not new. Although we can’t prove Agatha Christie as the original writer to combine a dozen characters and kill them all one-by-one, it is possible. The identity and motives of the murderer are revealed at the final chapter.

2. Serial Killer
This topic is perfect for those who aren’t afraid to read horror stories. We recommend that you also read books about serial killers. First, it will make your narrative more convincing if you have more knowledge about the topic. You might also find a more interesting topic to write about.

3. Unconventional Killing
Some readers think that unusual crimes are appropriate for low-quality pulp novel. This topic can still be used as a starting point for writing.
It is possible to write a novel about unusual murders using extraordinary murder weapons, unimaginable places, or absurd situations.

4. Genius Theft
This topic can be categorized as a really great novel idea, because it can be written so that your readers will be blown away. It’s not literally. It takes more imagination, cognitive skills and creativity than the last one. You can create the perfect illusion or a fraud.

5. “Good” Crime
Let’s bring a little light into the darkness. Sometimes miracles do happen. Your villainous character can become a true hero. There are many reasons for transformation: love, duty and personal tragedy. Your female readers will fall for a bad boy.

Creative Ideas for Writing a Fantasy Story
1. An unanticipated journey
Your character should seem normal from the first glance. Truth be told, your character is selected to save the magic kingdom because of an old prophecy. Your hero must stop evil magicians, terrible monsters, or enemy soldiers. Please underline the things you love more.

2. War of Races
The conflict will be created by combining humans, fairies, orcs and dwarfs. The only thing you have to do is choose the right side of your hero. Give your hero a chance at winning.

3. Quest
The dragon must be killed! Rescue the princess! Locate the treasure! Your heroes or hero can do anything you want. You can have interesting characters and accomplish impossible missions. That’s how a quest novel works.

4. Our World is Not Perfect

You can enjoy the world we live in and not want to create something completely new. This novel idea is perfect for you. Show the world and add interesting spices to your story. You could start a school for witchcraft.

5. Magic Transformation
Metamorphoses have been around for a while. They are still interesting today, though. “The Little Mermaid”, the Princess and the Frog,” and Brave all are fairy tales, but they all prove the same wise point: “Being human just isn’t enough to make you a person.”

Sci-Fi Novel Idea

1. Space
The starry night sky has been an inspiration source for mankind since ancient times. People believed that the sky was controlled by powerful gods in the past. Today we know a lot more about space’s content. We still have the possibility to dream, even though we don’t know enough. This list includes topics such as terraforming and wormholes.

2. Technological Advancement
Future is closer than you might think. The future is already here. VR technologies, electric cars and 3D printing are just a few examples. Universal translators are also a part. Make sure your ideas are not already in use before you start writing about the future of technology. Flying cars won’t be a surprise to anyone.

3. Venturing through time
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is unknown, but today, it is, is history. It is the “present” because of this. Yes, we quote “Kung Fu Panda” because it is a good example. It is important to appreciate every moment of your life. We cannot forget to dream about the past and future. Every person has at least one chance to travel through the past and future in their lives. These dreams can be turned into science fiction novels.

4. Machines

Original: Airplane
Paraphrased: Aircraft
We are both impressed and scared by human-like machines. They could be a great help for humanity. They might try to take our place. Any idea or future you want to write about can be chosen. Human creativity can’t be replaced by artificial intelligence, right?

We trust that you will do your best in creating a story about a mythical killer or space battle. You can also check out our example novel, or combine two or three topics to create an amazing novel. You can create anything: magic-controlled robots, mythological creatures that fall in love with aliens, serial killers who travel through time, or any other type of fantasy. You don’t have to be afraid of dreaming up a brilliant idea.
